Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can I direct my gift to a certain area?

A: Yes. Making a donation is a very personal decision and your gift should reflect that. For some people a gift to the area of greatest need is significant for others a personal experience may have had a profound impact and their gift may reflect that. You can direct your gift toward a particular campaign or program within the Hospital by letting us know know about the department or area of care that you would like to support in the comments portion of your online donation form. Please see our Gifts of Gratitude Program if you would like to acknowledge any particular staff or department with a thank you note along with your donation.

If each individual would like to be receipted, individual donations may be a better avenue. If the donation is a major gift amount, there may be alternate recognition opportunities.

Q: I’d like to contribute to Foundation sponsored events through my business. Will I receive a receipt for my donation?

A: There are many ways for businesses to contribute. If it is merchandise rather than a monetary contribution, you will be receipted for the retail value of the item(s).

While gift cards and Gift Certificates are always welcome, these donations do not qualify for tax receipts.
