Oncology Clinic

Seven Oaks is one of four sites in Winnipeg with a Community Hospital Oncology Clinic. The Seven Oaks clinic is responsible for providing comprehensive cancer care services to patients who are experiencing malignant and non-malignant, haematological and related diseases.

Co-ordinated, comprehensive, interdisciplinary care is provided by a team, which consists of the oncologist, registered nurses, allied health professionals, support staff and volunteers. This interdisciplinary team works to provide individualized care for patients and families requiring treatment for their disease and information, education and counseling designed to assist them in coping with the disease and treatment process.

Residents of the northwest quarter of Winnipeg benefit from receiving that care and treatment closer to the community they live in. Physicians and surgeons either in the community or during a hospitalization refer patients to the clinic.   At Seven Oaks Oncology we understand the diagnosis of cancer can be overwhelming for patients and for their families. We believe the best care is provided through a comprehensive approach that will meet your needs and concerns.

We consider you, our patient, and your family to be an important member of the health care team. The primary objective of treatment is cure, but when a cure is beyond reach, there is still a great deal that can be done to help you and your family.

We work closely with Cancer Care Manitoba (CCMB), which is responsible for cancer prevention, detection, care, research and education throughout Manitoba and are part of the WRHA Oncology Program.
