Dialysis Treatment Disruptions
Published Tuesday, December 16, 2025
Due to a watermain break on November 22 which damaged dialysis treatment areas in Seven Oaks General Hospital, we’ve had to make temporary changes to patient schedules and treatment locations. Your schedule may be affected.
It is important you continue to work with your care team to maintain regular treatment. Someone from your treatment team will be in contact with you to let you know when and where you or your family member will dialyze.
This issue is disruptive and frustrating. Please know we are committed to working with our partners to restore full dialysis capacity at Seven Oaks as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience and kindness to our staff as we navigate this situation.
We care about your health and safety. If you have questions about upcoming appointments or other issues, please call us at 204-632-3467.
New Reconciliation Garden
October 20, 2022
Funded in part thanks to donations from our community – you! – and The Winnipeg Foundation, our new Reconciliation Garden opened October 20, 2022.
Under the guiding hand of Elder Ron Bell, who offered a smudging ceremony, songs, and a blessing for the new site, the Reconciliation Garden creates an environment for inclusion of Indigenous practices, inspires conversations about reconciliation, and features plants and details with cultural significance. Lifestyle is Medicine
November 1 2021
We’re delighted to share with you an article that appeared in Monday’s Winnipeg Free Press.
You can read about a new study – funded by the Foundation and your donations – out of our Chronic Disease Innovation Centre, in partnership with the University of Manitoba, that proves membership at a Medical Fitness Facility (like the Wellness Institute!) reduces mortality (by an amazing 60%!) and reduces risk of hospitalization by 13%.
Seven Oaks Emergency Converted to Urgent Care
It is important for you to know that Seven Oaks emergency department converted to an urgent care centre effective July 22, 2019.
As your community hospital, the urgent care centre is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to address unexpected health concerns that need same-day attention.
The urgent care centre is staffed by emergency-trained physicians and highly trained nurses. As with all urgent care centres, lab services, and diagnostic imaging are available.
I invite you to visit My Right Care for more information about urgent care. If you have additional questions, please contact us and we’ll do our best to help.
